Update...

Wow, it has been such a long time since I have been on here. Sorry for being MIA for so long. Momma and I have busy. Well, I have been keeping Momma busy. Between getting new teeth and just a typical toddler Momma has been very busy with me. Getting these molars is NO fun at all. My last two one year molars are coming in now. And life has been just miserable. :(

Things really haven't changed much. I am a little taller, bigger, and have more temper tantrums. We haven't really been able to do much. It has been so hot outside that we pretty much have to stay inside. Momma and I do take night walks some times before I go to bed. We walk down to the corner and back if it cool enough.

I have learned one new cool thing. I learned how to play my harmonica now. It is so cool! I don't have to bug Momma and Daddy to play is any more. Although I still try get them to play it for me sometimes.

We are suppose to be getting rain soon. It will be good to get some rain. Every thing has been so dry. Momma says there is a burn ban and we really aren't suppose to use our grill because it is a charcoal grill. I better wrap it up. Hope you all have great day.

God Bless,

Easter!

I woke up Easter morning to a big thunder storm. The thunder was so loud that it was just a little scary. I didn't know what it was or where it was coming from. That's what made it so scary. But then Mommy told me it was just the angels bowling in heaven. That helped a little bit. But it was still kinda scary.

Once I found my Easter basket, everything was good again. There was a ball, some candy, and the best of all...Chuggington Chuggers! I got Wilson and Brewter! I got to play with them for a little bit before it was time to go to the Easter Egg hunt at the Chapel.

The Easter Egg hunt was a BLAST! It was inside because of the rain. But it was still LOTS of fun! There were lots of different colored eggs! I mostly liked dancing to the music. Daddy showed me what I was suppose to be picking up and where I was suppose to put it. After that I caught on pretty quick. I got quite a few eggs too. I also got another new ball at the end. I picked out the purple one.

While we waited for the Easter Service to start, Mommy went to find me some Benadryl. We found out that I can't have penicillin. It makes me break out in hives. And they were really really itch too. But after Mommy gave me the medicine I started to feel much better. The service was great too. Of course the music was the best. I did sleep through half of it. That Benadryl really made me sleepy.

Well, hoping that everyone had a great Easter like I did!
God Bless

A Trip Back in Time...

Sunday, I took a trip back in time. The time period I went too....Medieval Times! It was GREAT! I had so much fun. I got to see lovely dancers, bagpipe players, pet a hawk, and ride a war horse! I also got to watch Knights in action. There were camels and an elephant too. It was kinda cool to see an elephant up close like that. My favorite part was riding the war horse. Her name was Daisy. Kind of funny name for a war horse, right. That's just what I thought. But she was very nice. And very big. Daddy got to ride her with me. It was his first on a horse too. Crazy huh? Mommy couldn't believe that he had never been on a horse before.
We didn't get to see the joust. It was really hot and very very windy. Plus we had already been there for about 4 hours and we had to wait another 1 1/2 hours till it started. So Mommy said that we would go to see it next year.

Oh and Mommy got so sunburned. :( She was miserable for 4 days. But she is doing better now. And she can actually play with me again. So all is well again.

Hope all is well with everyone. God Bless!

Zoo Adventure!

Today, Mommy and Daddy took me to the zoo. It was such a beautiful day to go. We didn't get to see everything because we didn't go until 2:00pm. But we still had so much fun. We got to see the elephants! They just opened the new exhibit! And it is so cool! They even have windows way up high for the maternity room. And you can see the vet do their check ups! It's really awesome! Then we went to my favorite animal to watch....The Otters! Yes, I still love my giraffes. But come on, there's just something so cute and fun about watching otters swim and play. And the coyotes were really playful too. They were wrestling just my puppies do. So it was kinda fun to watch them too. Then Daddy took me on the carousel! It was my first time being on the carousel. It was fun too! Although by this time I was getting kinda sleepy so I didn't do too much but just sit and relax. Daddy picked out a big elephant for me to ride. So he rode with me too. Then for the very end we went to see the Sea Lions! Another one of my favorite animals to watch. Mommy said that one day we will go back to watch the Sea Lion show! I can't wait!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful day, full of adventures! God Bless!

Pictures of.....ME!

My Momma has become talented. Aunt Marilyn has introduced her to this new picture thing. And now she's addicted.

Aunt Marilyn- You have turned Mommy into a monster. But the pictures are pretty neat.

Well, the days have seemed to fly by. I'm getting bigger by the day. And driving Mommy just as nuts. My favorite thing to do to scare her is going down the slide by myself and climbing on any thing and every thing. She says I am going to give her a heart attack before she is 30.

I finally have some teeth now. Just two right now. But hey, I got 'em! Now I can just chomp chomp chomp away! What I like most about my new teeth is that they make noise when I bite on something hard. Hopefully it won't take long to get the rest of my teeth in. Then I can really go chomp chomp!

God Bless!

Mommy takes over my blog....

Not sure where to begin with the last couple of days. They have been full of mixed emotions. Sadness, anger, anxiousness, nervousness, frustration, and yes even a little bit of excitement and contentment or relief(depending on side of the process you are on). Those that have been in or associated with the military in any way understand this process. We all know it is bound to happen at some point to us all. Sure, you can try to prepare yourself for it. Still it is one of those things that will never get any easier with repetition. Instead it just gets more familiar(for lack of better words). It is never easy to see a very good friend go no matter how many times you have been through it or seen it happen.

You remember and cherish the time you had together. Tuck it away in a special memory file. You pray that some day God will bring you back together even if it is at a different base. You also find out quick what options you have out there for continued communication. And then you find out there is a whole world in forms of communication especially in today's technology. The simple "Hi, how are you?" or the "just checking in" posts on Facebook come to mean something so much more then you ever would have thought. A simple Christmas or "Just thinking of you" card becomes a highly treasured item. Even when we hit a fast pace in our lifes and we don't get the time to talk, chat, skype, or email on a regular basis, we always know that the friendship is still just as strong as it was when we first became friends.

I am VERY grateful for today's technology! It is great that things like Facebook, email, and Skype have made it SO much easier for us to stay in touch more often.

They say that knowledge is power. But knowing that it is going to happen and even when doesn't make it any easier. But on a flip side, the knowledge that the bonds of friendship forged within the military are unbreakable IS power!
